Student Development Programme

  • On 14th December, 2024 As a part of Student Development Programme, Kanoria School of Law for Women, Jaipur has organised Client Counselling in BA LL.B. Semester I, to make them understand the basics of Advocacy. Through Client Counselling, students develop skills in public speaking, writing, research, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity.

  • On 6th November, 2024 as a part of students development programme, movie screening of CTRL was done to spread awareness about impact of Artificial intelligence in our day to day lives. Students later gave oral presentation on the same.

  • On 17th October, 2024 As a part of Student Development Programme, Kanoria School of Law for Women has organised Model United Nations in Semester I on topic “Innovative solutions: technology and environment”. Through MUN, students develop skills in public speaking, writing, research, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity.

  • On 15th October, 2024 An activity was conducted on October 15th where I semester students who are part of drama club were shown a short film to help them understand different emotions and their significance in drama. They were also assigned various socio- legal topics on which they created short scenes, allowing them to learn a lot and they enjoyed both the activities. These activities were organized by Dilpreet Kaur and Shubh Kanwar, students from the VIII semester.

  • On 14th October, 2024 An interactive session for introducing the Drama Club to students of semester I was held in the month of September by Dilpreet kaur and Shubh Kanwar of Semester VIII. During this session, they provided insights about the club and organized activities to spark interest among the students. The students enjoyed various activities, such as connecting words, doing various expressions and mirror images, and they were very enthusiastic about enrolling in the club.

  • On 18th September, 2024 As part of Student Development Programme, Kanoria School of Law for Women organised Mock Parliament on the topic “Caste Census: Need of the time”. The purpose of Mock Parliament is to develop an insight into the working of the Parliament, to make students consider public issues and to form their opinion on them. By this activity students develop an ability to respect and tolerate the views of others. Students took active participation throughout the activity.

  • On 9th September, 2024 As part of Student development program in Sociology class subject enhancement activity was conducted. The activity was focused on the role of different institutions in society. The class was divided under four groups as Educational ,Religion, Political and law respectively. Each student described the functions and debated on both positive and negative impacts of the following institutions. They also tried to give reasoning and proposed different concrete recommendations . The activity enhanced the students ability to debate and testify various institutions. Overall there was a persuasive discussion at the end which lead the participants to acquire skills for a confident public speaker with more assertive thinking and sanguinity.

  • On 13-14th August, 2024 The activity titled “I Am…” was conducted over two days, August 13th and 14th, during the English lectures for the newly admitted students of Semester 1. The primary objective was to facilitate student interaction and help classmates get to know each other better as part of an ice-breaking session at the start of the semester.

    Students were instructed to prepare a 250-word excerpt about themselves. The excerpts were to include personal details, such as their personality traits, likes, and dislikes. The goal was for each student to express their individuality and share their unique perspectives with the class.

    Students were given time to write their excerpts before the activity. They were encouraged to be honest and introspective, reflecting on their personal attributes and preferences. Each student took turns presenting their excerpt on the podium in front of their peers. This allowed everyone to listen to their classmates’ personal stories and insights.

    The activity effectively promoted student interaction. As students shared their personal details, they found common interests and began to form connections with one another. Through the presentations, students gained a better understanding of their classmates’ personalities, likes, and dislikes. This helped in fostering a sense of community and mutual respect within the classroom. The activity served its purpose as an ice-breaker, easing the students into the new semester by reducing initial social barriers and encouraging a collaborative and supportive environment.

    The “I Am…” activity was a successful introduction for the new students, setting a positive tone for the semester. It allowed students to engage with each other in a meaningful way and laid the groundwork for building a cohesive and interactive class environment.

  • On 18th July, 2024 Navigating the intricacies of family law is essential to develop the comprehensive understanding of its various aspects from marriage to divorce, adoption to inheritance, maintenance etc. along with recent legal developments. As a part of Student Development Programme an academic activity was conducted with this objective in which students participated enthusiastically.

  • On 10th July, 2024 “Engagement in class activities fuels a passion for learning.” Students of semester IV have prepared and delivered a well-structured three-days presentation on the Presidents of India, offering a comprehensive view of the nation’s highest office and its occupants. They highlighted thier contributions to India’s democracy and their roles in shaping the country’s political landscape. Every student made an effective effort in showcasing their skills and creativity through this activity .

  • On 9th July, 2024, As a part of student development programme, Kanoria School of Law for Women organised a Classroom Presentation in Semester IV. Students were encouraged to present their views on UK constitution through creative ways. In the activity students participated enthusiastically and developed greater understanding of the topic through various methods like ppt presentation, skit and narration of the topic.

  • On 2nd July, 2024, As part of Student Development Program an academic activity was conducted wherein students were assigned various acts to present and explain to their peers. This approach is designed to enhance their knowledge and sharpen their oratory skills. Each student received a unique topic, encompassing a range of subjects on law(statutes). They were engaged in thorough research, promoting independent learning and critical thinking. During the presentation phase, students articulated their findings confidently, improving their public speaking abilities. This initiative has led to remarkable improvements in communication skills, demonstrating greater clarity, persuasion, and eloquence. Overall, this activity empowered the students by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in any field they choose to pursue. This initiative underscores our commitment to holistic education, preparing students to become articulate and knowledgeable leaders of tomorrow.

  • On 25th June, 2024, students of semester IV gathered for an insightful screening of a documentary on Emergency. This activity aimed to enhance their understanding of response to the emergency and the importance of constitutional doctrines. Based on the documentary by India Today on the Emergency in India (1975-1977) which escalated political turmoil, including court rulings against Indira Gandhi. The students learned about the emergency and the adverse impact on the lives of people during this enriching session.

  • On 16th December, 2023, As a part of Students development program , Rajasthan School of Law for women organized Teaching Assistance Session on the topic of case brief, wherein student of 9th semester hitaishee sharma guided first semester students about writing and critical analysis of case laws.

  • On 1st December, 2023, As a part of Student development program Rajasthan School of Law for Women organised a *Mock Parliament* on the bill “ One Nation, One Election ”. Mock parliament is a simulation of the parliamentary proceeding of legislature. Mock Parliaments are usually held as an educational tool to promote understanding of the working of government and to advocate social and political change. It helps the students to better understand the political system of the country.

  • On 7th October 2023, as a part of student development programme a MODEL UNITED NATIONS UN was organised in the Rajasthan School of Law for Women for semester VI students. Preparing and participating in a MUN helps students develop leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, coming up with solutions that are acceptable to a majority of the representatives also inculcates skills of negotiation, conflict resolution, and cooperation.
    Students represented themselves as different countries and spoke on different agendas related to “The Hijab Row” and women’s right’s to name a few.
    A resolution was passed at the end of the session. Best speakers were awarded by the Principal Dr. Vartika Arora. It was an enriching and productive activity for students which was conducted with the aim to keep students in touch with global trends that come under international law regime.

  • On 28th September, 2023 as a part of student development programme a group discussion was organised in the Rajasthan School of Law for Women in semester-1.First topic that was enunciated by Niharika Singh Rajawat, on Right to privacy. There were various cases that were addressed by her. For instance,MP Sharma vs Satish Chandra (1954)*,*Kharak Singh vs State of UP, and KS Puttaswamy vs Union of India

    The discussion was well articulated and coherent to the knowledge of the students.
    The second discussion was on Mental health: a myth or veracious, it was discussed by Kanishka Verma, she meticulously stated all the attributes of mental health for instance the meaning, social stigma, provision which are implemented by the government.
    She significantly said that awareness is beacon to help the society in order to deal with the horrendous and cumbersome mental health predicaments.
    The questions were asked related to the following topics and were discussed comprehensively.
    Hence the group discussion took place in a well organised manner, it is helpful for the holistic development of the student.
  • On 15th September, 2023 As part of Student Development Programme, Rajasthan School of Law for Women organised debate competition on the topic ‘India vs Bharat’ for students of 1st Semester . The aim of organizing debate competition was to hone the public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The debate was conducted to build strong opinions of the students about the current political scenario. 

  • On 2nd September, 2023 As a part of *Student development program* Rajasthan School of Law for Women organised a *Mock Parliament* on the bill *Uniform Civil Code*. Mock parliament is a simulation of the parliamentary proceeding of legislature. Mock Parliaments are usually held as an educational tool to promote understanding of the working of government and to advocate social and political change. It helps the students to better understand the political system of the country.

    The discussion amongst students as parliamentarians was engaging and well researched.
  • On 19th August, 2023 As a part of Student development programme Rajasthan school of law for women organised a debate activity. The topic of debate was “Gender neutral laws in India”. The students participated in the huge number. Debate helps to develop essential critical thinking , organisation of thoughts , eloquence, oration skills and confidence. After the discussion , rebuttal round took place. Debate activity was productive and fruitful exercise enhancing their talent and improving their overall development.
  • On 14th August, 2023 “Engaging activities in the classroom ignite the spark of curiosity, transforming students into active learners and creators of knowledge.”
    With the objective of retaining the knowledge acquired earlier, various group activities were organised by the students of Semester 2 to secure the enduring remembrance of lessons learned earlier.
    The activities organised were in the form of a Legal Quiz and Presentations .
    Wherein, in the former , four teams participated with their prolific legal knowledge , which yielded in enhancing their knowledge on legal topics .
    And the latter , was structured into various groups, where students up skilled their confidence level and amplified their speaking proficiency. The topics of the presentations were based on the concepts like basics of contract, Free Consent of parties, Void agreements , Breach of contract, with an aim to refine their concepts in an advanced manner.
    These activities not only just helped in preserving the earlier assimilated knowledge , but also imbibed self confidence in every student and encourage them to explore beyond the textbooks and to reach new horizons of knowledge.
